The AKINCI, produced with high technology by AKINROBOTICS, is the first humanoid robot prototype in Turkey. It is a project that began its R&D studies in 2009. AKINCI-2, the third prototype of the project, can demonstrate humanoid features such as moving fingers, arm joints, and facial expressions. Additionally, it has the ability to walk through its legs and can speak Turkish. It has a total weight of 65 kilograms and a height of 160 cm. It can actively provide services for one hour.
AKINCI-2 possesses capabilities such as maintaining balance during walking by instantly responding to external forces (pushing, obstacles on the road, ramps, etc.) through its balance sensor, depth perception with a stereo vision camera, determining direction while walking and reaching the target point, and determining the ground direction using sensors.
It can research desired topics on the Internet using encyclopedic databases and convey information, object recognition and tracking, human detection and tracking, perception and interpretation engine, detecting ambient temperature and odors, walking, changing direction, climbing stairs through its 6-axis 2 feet, and gripping objects with its 5-fingered ergonomic hand design.
AKINCI-2 is showcased for visitors at the Istanbul Robot Museum, Turkey's first robot museum, opened by AKINSOFT and AKINROBOTICS on December 15, 2022. You can access visuals of the humanoid robot AKINCI-2 within the page.
